Family Ministry

Spreading the Good news of Jesus Christ, youth to youth has always been at the heart of being a Jesus Youth. And in this mission of reaching out to young people, the witness and hospitality of families who embody the joy of a life in Christ have always played a pivotal role. Every young person who is part of Jesus Youth would have many a story to tell of the selfless sacrifice and prayers of elders, who like Aquila and Priscilla, have opened their hearts, homes and lives for them.
Though during the initial stages of the movement's growth, the family ministry was primarily geared to support and sustain the youth ministry, as time progressed and the mustard seed of Jesus Youth began to grow into "a tree on which the birds of the air come and lodge in its branches", the family ministry began to realise the profound need to help the families around to live their vocation to the fullest, as well as aiding the young people in their voyage of faith.
In the UK, the Jesus Youth family ministry is instrumental in driving the Pe-Teens ministry, catering to the primary school children running summer camps as well as various pre-teens programmes throughout the year. The family ministry also organises the yearly Jesus Youth pilgrimage to Walsingham as well as the around the UK rosary prayer initiative called "Marian Voyage" in October every year.
