In UK, Jesus Youth is now active in 19 Catholic Dioceses. Jesus Youth began its mission in UK in 2001. On a regular basis the movement organizes Youth Formation Programmes, Catechist’s trainings, Family Retreats, Youth retreats, Teen Retreats and Jesus & Me pre-teens camps. The movement also takes a lead in organizing pilgrimages, fun and fellowship days and musical evenings for young people periodically. In UK, Jesus Youth has organized National Conferences in 2002, 2003, 2004, 2009, 2012 and 2015, as well as hosting the European Conference in Wales in 2007. Jesus Youth UK has hosted a series of Gospel music concerts in 2005 and 2009 by Rexband, the international music band of Jesus Youth.
Jesus Youth has been working together with the other youth movements as well as the various other initiatives of the Church for the past many years. Jesus Youth is officially part of the “Spirit in the City” outreach initiative of the Westminster diocese, as well as working closely with the Catholic Charismatic Renewal (CCR) group of UK. Jesus Youth is also very much a part of the various 40 Days for Life pro-life prayer campaigns happening across UK for the last few years.
Jesus Youth Centre for Prayer and Mission , in St Charles Parish in Sheffield is the HQ and home for every Jesus Youth in this country. A parish church and presbytery on the verge of closure was taken up by Jesus Youth with prayers and blessings of His excellency Bishop John Rawsthorne in November 2012. Since then this centre has acted as the base for Jesus Youth UK.
